Jenny Etter, Executive Director | MA

Jenny has over 30 years of experience as a director for primarily non-profit agencies.  Jenny graduated from Goddard College in Vermont with her masters degree in psychology.  She began her career in Domestic Violence Alternative programming in Marshalltown and then in the Quad Cities.  She has experience directing programs focused on behavioral health services for adults and children including working with autism.  She served as a clinical director for 6 years for a mental health/developmental disabilities agency in Texas before returning to Iowa in 2013.  For the last 6 years, she has been the executive director for the Marshalltown Central Business District.  

Darcy Maiden-Parks, Clinical Director | MA, LMHC, CADC

Darcy is the Clinical Director responsible for supervising all clinical staff and oversees all clinical quality assurance activities.  A portion of her time is also spent in direct service providing counseling services.  Darcy graduated with her masters degree from Webster University, Kansas City, Missouri with her degree in mental health counseling.  She is a licensed mental health counselor and a certified alcohol and drug counselor.  Darcy has been with SATUCI since 2005.

Dr. Timothy Swinton, Medical Director | M.D.

Dr. Swinton is a family practice physician at Primary Health Care in Marshalltown. He is a member of the American Board of Family Practice. He earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa. He completed his residency at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. Dr. Swinton also practiced medicine at the Mtshabezi Mission Hospital in South Africa for two years.

Cristina Cervantes | Support Services Director

Cristina Cervantes is the Support Services Director and oversees all Electronic Health Records programming. Cristina has been at SATUCI since 2016. Cristina supervises all Support Staff and is the conduit between clinical services, fiscal/billing, and support service departments. Cristina also serves as the HR coordinator, she retains and maintains all staff records, licensure documentation and assists with agency hiring. Cristina completed Management Training at the Middle Management Academy National Council for Behavioral Health in 2021.

Shannon Chyma, Prevention Services Director | MS

Shannon Chyma is the Prevention Services Director and a Certified Prevention Specialist. Shannon has been at SATUCI since 2006. Shannon oversees all prevention services and staff as well as budget and grant development for her department. She is certified to teach Prime for Life DUI curriculum and other prevention focused programming. Shannon has over 20 years of work experience that includes teaching and community youth programming. Shannon has a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. Shannon is currently the Vice President of the Iowa Prevention Treatment Supervisor’s Association.

Alison Long, Finance Director | BS

Alison Long is the Finance Director, Health & Safety officer and supervises the Billing Department staff. Alison has been at SATUCI since 2020. Alison has over 20 years of experience in accounting, payroll, budgets and grant administration. Alison has her Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University in Business Management and Human Resources. Alison manages all fiscal/billing and works in Abila electronic accounting system. As the Health and Safety Officer she coordinates all activities to assure Agency, State, Federal and CARF compliance standards.
