Full or Part Time Outpatient Addictions Counselor

SATUCI, a non-profit, state funded, community-based agency that has provided substance abuse prevention and treatment services since 1980, is looking for a qualified full or part time outpatient addictions counselor based out of our Marshalltown, Iowa office.  Responsibilities include client assessments/referrals, individual and group counseling, and case management services.  The successful candidate will have at a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, social work or related field.   tCADC required within 6 months of employment.    A CADC, IADC or Master’s degree and licensed as a LMHC, LMSW, LISW is preferred. Experience providing direct substance use disorder treatment preferred but not required.  Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and be able to pay attention to detail.  Spanish language skills a plus. Per Federal Guidelines, SATUCI staff are required to have or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

Full Time Prevention Specialist

SATUCI, a non-profit, state funded, community-based agency that has provided substance abuse prevention and treatment services since 1980, is looking for a qualified full-time Prevention Specialist based out of our Marshalltown, Iowa office.  Responsibilities include providing educational programs within schools in grades K-12; attending community coalition meetings and providing presentations in the community on the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana and other drugs and gambling prevention. The Prevention Specialist will provide services in the four-county area of Marshall, Hardin, Poweshiek and Tama.  The successful candidate will have at a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, social work or related field.   A Certified Prevention Specialist certification is required to be obtained in 18 months of start date. Per Federal Guidelines, SATUCI staff are required to have or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.
