Prevention Specialist

SATUCI is looking for a team-oriented professional for full time work. Focus of work will be prevention of substance misuse and problem gambling serving Hardin, Marshall, Poweshiek and Tama counties. This position is housed in the main office in Marshalltown. Education requirements include an Associate’s Degree (required) or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in education or human services related field. Successful candidate will be a self-starter, possess strong computer, communication and presentation skills. Position will involve program development and educational programming with youth and adults in community, school and workplace settings. Will provide training. Comparative salary and benefit package. Other requirements include: public speaking, participation in community coalitions, obtain a Certified Prevention Specialist certification within 18 months of hire (training provided), satisfactory background check, and valid driver’s license with own transportation and automobile insurance
